4th of July Trivia Contest

Since there are very few Independence Day celebrations going on around our country this year, we are going to have a special Trivia Contest on the blog.  The first person to answer the following questions will get a free copy of a book, edited by Jon Meacham, which was released on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.  The name of the book is In the Hands of the People and is a compilation of essays on citizenship, most of which are written by Thomas Jefferson.

Questions:

Who were the two U.S. Presidents who both died on July the 4th in the same year?

In what year did they die?

How old were both of them?

Hint—They were bitter enemies during their political careers but reconciled and corresponded during their later years.

Simply reply to this post on the blog.  I will be able to see what time the answers are submitted.  I will contact the winner (first person to reply with the correct answers) and mail or deliver to you the book ASAP.

Good Luck!!
