Charles Dickens was certainly one of the most popular writers of the Victorian Era, and his books remain solid ‘classics’. If I asked you “In what Charles Dickens’ work is the quote ‘Bah Humbug,’ ” you would surely know the answer. Can you say the same for the following five quotes from Dickens’ novels? To help you, I’ve given you a list of the correct novels below the quotes. Your task is to match the quote with the novel. There will be a prize for the first one who answers correctly!

    #1 =Tale of Two Cities.
    #2 – (guessing) = Nicholas Nickleby
    #3 = Oliver Twist
    #4 = (guessing) David Copperfield
    #5 = (guessing) Old Curiosity Shot

    Sorry to say I was never much of a Dickens reader

    1. You are not alone in having trouble with this one. You came very close, however, in being correct. 1, 3 and 4 were correct, and you had 2 and 5 reversed. Bravo!!
