The Maid Returns!!

Nita Prose, author of The Maid, took on a new role when she wrote her debut novel. Her first job was, and still is, at Simon and Schuster in Canada as Editorial Director. Prose admits that being an editor gives her an advantage becasue she knows what publishers need to make a book a success. And quite a success The Maid was, winning many awards for Prose and being traslated into more than 35 languages.

The main character Molly has also won unprecedented admiration from the public. Prose describes Molly as being neurodivergent. She sees the world a bit differently than most people, and that trait is one of her strengths. Prose was a teacher of special needs students before her career in publishing, and she remembers how misunderstood many of her students were. Molly becomes a beloved character to readers, and most fans of The Maid will be delighted that she has returned.
