Just for fun!

You can read these books in the summer or ANYTIME. They are quaranteed to be fun!

The Guest, Emma Cline — The author of The Girls continues to exhibit her literary skills in a story about a 22 year old girl who gets herself evicted from an older man’s home in the Hamptons and roams around–where? Read something the Washington Post calls “smoldering.”

Pineapple Street, Jenny Jackson — This book is a Good Morning America Book Club Pick. It could be called ‘The Hilarious Lives of the Rich and Famous’. Do you like a book about sisters? Little Women it is NOT.

The Bandit Queens, Parini Shroff — Did you watch Bad Sisters on Apple TV by any chance? If you did and you liked it, you will love The Bandit Queens. A woman in a small village in India literally loses her husband, as in ‘she doesn’t know where he is.’ The problem is that the other women in the village think she killed him. They want to know how? Dark humor but worth the read!

Crook Manifesto, Colson Whitehead — Whitehead continues the saga of Ray Carney, the furniture store owner in Harlem Shuffle. Carney has gone legit until he needs to get his daughter sold-out tickets to a concert. This little caper lands him in a lot more trouble than he bargains for.
